Meet the Producer

Behind King Arthur is Elkin Arcila, an innovative grower who has redefined his family’s tradition with a passion for specialty Colombian coffee.

He invests deeply in agronomy, advanced processing, and community training. In 2017, Elkin founded a barista school in Támesis, where 15 to 20 students are trained every year. His vision creates opportunities for the next generation while raising the bar for quality and sustainability.

On his farm “Puerto Arturo”, Elkin consistently achieves remarkable results, with King Arthur Geisha scoring between 89 and 90 points. Blessed with natural mineral springs and a unique terroir, his farm is the perfect setting for this one-of-a-kind coffee.

Elkin’s careful and diligent practices infuse every cup with innovation, impact, and soul.

This micro lot is carefully crafted using aerobic and anaerobic fermentation methods, followed by a delicate honey-style drying process. Every step is designed to highlight the natural beauty of the Geisha variety.

Don Elkin Arcila hand-picks only the ripest cherries with optimal sugar levels. The coffee then undergoes two stages of controlled 90-hour fermentation, first in cherry and then in mucilage. Finally, it is dried slowly on African beds with its honey intact, producing the distinctive and exquisite profile that sets King Arthur Geisha apart.

The result is an elegant, floral, and sweet cup, guaranteed to be the start of any cafe menu.

Canada Post Strike

CUPW has issued a strike notification to Canada Post.  They have yet to say whether this will be a rotating strike or whether it will be a nationwide shut down.  During this time we are going to continue to try and offer free shipping using wither Purolator or UPS so that our customers can continue to ensure that they get there parcels in a timely manner.  Although we would like to say that we will be able to offer this service to all of our customers for some orders this is simply not feasible.

We hope that this strike will not last for long and hope that you will continue to support our business during these difficult days.  We appreciate your patience and understanding in these matters.
